"Catholic parishes are unfortunately not often known for their technological expertise nor for their helpful websites. Brian Venegas and Nowen Digital have helped Sacred Heart Cathedral make our online presence both appealing and useful, and for this I am very grateful as pastor of this church."

Non-generic design

For Humans

There are thousands of website builders you could use to build your site for cheaper than I'll do it, but let's face it, they overwhelmingly look generic and will continue to do so as AI-design and trend-following become more and more prevalent.

You can't afford to look the same as the competition right now.

Let me build you a site that breaks free from the monotony.

Built on proven technology

I build custom solutions using name-brand tech that's industry-leading for a reason: it works, and works damn well.

For websites, I design and build on a platform called Webflow because:

  • Design: It's very customizable, enabling highly-tailored, unique designs
  • Editing: It enables you to make content edits and to roll out regular posts without requiring a developer's help (or mine)
  • Speed: Pages load very quickly, giving your users a better experience and helping your site show up faster in search engines (Google cares about that)
  • Reliability: It uses best-in-class hosting to handle traffic spikes and deliver your site to your users with 99.99% reliability
  • Cost: It does not require hand-coding, so your site can be built more quickly and therefore more cost-efficiently

Why the name
NOWEN DIGITAL?
Nowen =
Nicholas Owen
1562-1602
Nicholas Owen was a master carpenter and Jesuit lay person who served during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I and King James I in England. He traveled throughout England under assumed aliases (e.g. "Little John, Carpenter") building hiding places for priests in the houses of those sympathetic to the Catholic Church, which at the time was essentially outlawed in England. Besides this, he is said to have masterminded the escape of Jesuit priests from the tower of London, even though burdened by a hernia and a leg crippled from a falling horse.

Most notably, he was twice subjected to torture on the rack by English authorities, breaking only once - and that, only physically, resulting in his death. For his service, the Catholic Church canonized Nicholas Owen in 1970.

Nowen Digital is named in honor of this master craftsman who worked quietly and diligently, saving the lives of many, and dying honorably in a time when his cause was severely unpopular.
